Patchwork Writing Group & Magazine

What is Patchwork?

Patchwork is a writing group that meets throughout the year to write, share ideas, and learn more about writing and creativity. All kids, 3rd grade and up, are welcome to join us! For more information about meetings and times, contact Tara Smith at tara@pcks.org.

Patchwork is ALSO a literary magazine featuring art and writing by creative Kennett-area kids.

Do you have to be in the Patchwork writing group to submit your writing or artwork to be published in the magazine?

No “ just send your work to tara@pcks.org.

We had the launch party for our first edition of the magazine on August 17th at the Market at Liberty Place. It was a great combination of poems, stories, art, and ice cream!

Here's what the members of the writing group wrote about Patchwork:

Just as small pieces of fabric are sewn together to make a quilt, so is Patchwork magazine. Here we strive to celebrate the uniqueness of each piece as art and sew it all together so that all of the writing and art connects. Just like a patchwork quilt.

If you enjoy words and stories and art, we hope you'll join us!
