Have you ever read the same Bible passage more than once? Some of you probably have countless times; others, not as often. On my almost daily walks, I often see the same old scenery: the same houses, flowers and decorations out front, the same yards, etc. However, if I take a closer look, the residences look less cookie-cutter. Sometimes something will strike me differently, or perhaps I hadn't ever noticed that particular decoration; maybe, a flower/plant slightly evolved. Truth be told, the same is true of reading Scripture daily. It's the same exact book, with the same author and writers, but some days a verse sticks out at us a verse sticks out at us in a new way, because of our life circumstances, for example. In contrast, maybe you are one who finds comfort in familiarity. If so, you'll find comfort in this song's truth about God: "[He] stay[s] the same through the ages; [His] love never changes..."
So the next time you dread walking or jogging that same old path again...or picking up and metaphorically (or literally!) dusting off your Bible, look for something new or undiscovered to be thankful for!

"Your Love Never Fails"
Nothing can separate Even if I ran away,
Your love never fails I know I still make mistakes,
But You have new mercies for me everyday,
Your love never fails.
You stay the same through the ages
Your love never changes
There may be pain in the night but joy comes in the morning
And when the oceans rage I don't have to be afraid
Because I know that You love me
Your love never fails
The wind is strong and the water's deep But I'm not alone here in these open seas
Cause Your love never fails
The chasm is far too wide, I never thought I'd reach the other side
But Your love never fails
You make, all things, work together for my good.
